A young family move into their new apartment in a gentrifying part of Copenhagen. Their romanticised left-wing ideals are put to the test when they cross paths with the downstairs neighbour - a holdover from a disappearing time.

We find Louis in a large workshop filled with valuable junk. In his trashed van we travel to Aarhus to visit his first friend out of many, in this series. This first episode shows flat tires on the highway, bloodthirsty dogs on the savannah of Jutland, a draisine at full speed towards “Braband Haveforening“ and jolly talk about anarchism over a literally smoking grill. Shaggy is selected to participate in the World Invitational Games in London, England.

Two young skippers, Hans Tønnesen and Poul Nielsen, have a small cargo ship that transports freight from Copenhagen to the provinces. Poul and Hans are in love with the same girl, Margit, who is the daughter of master baker Bonnekamp. However, Margit chooses Poul. On their wedding night, Hans cannot sleep. He sits in his boat and hears a splash in the water. He jumps into the water and rescues a young girl, Kristiane, from drowning. She is distraught because she is pregnant and does not dare tell her parents. Hans offers to marry her and acknowledge paternity, but on the way to his own wedding, his engine stalls.
